These fixes will be in V1.3, currently in the Apple review pipeline. In this course we will be exploring Macstitch and Winstitch (depending on which you have), starting by looking at the different areas of the screen and the menus, then we will create our first chart, look at motifs and Speciality stitches and the differences between them before looking at changing some of the preferences and options in the program. We have addressed the deletion of incorrect area (this happened after scrolling the image), and added a new option to erase backstitch from a selected area.

You can even scan a photograph or other image onto your computer. It’s also annoying that although I can use the ‘Cloth’ option to erase/delete whole stitches in a rectangular selection in one step, I have to delete back stitches one square at a time. MacStitch is a program for creating cross-stitch and tapestry designs. However, a random area nearby is deleted. When I choose ‘Erase’ the area I selected isn’t affected at all. The app just deleted a section of a design that I didn’t want to delete! When using the selection tool, the menu comes up asking if I want to copy, erase, flip, etc. I’ve had MacStitch for a few years, and hoped this would work as well, or better. we know people often go out taking laptops with them for example.

THEN, the next time I open the app the file is completely gone!!! Why?!? It’s infuriating! we are happy for you to install MacStitch or WinStitch on both the computers you own.
